Spot illustrations used in the CNIB annual report. I’ll admit I was surprised to get a call to do illustrations for a publication for the CNIB (the Canadian National Institute for the Blind), but their work helps both blind and partially sighted people. The specifications for publications are very precise and illustrations are fine to use as long as they have adequate contrast and don’t encroach on the text.

Media: ink and brush on Linetek paper.

Series of six woodcut-style illustrations: wheat silos from the Prairies; an East coast fishing village; A mountain in the Rockies; a covered bridge; a lighthouse; and the Chateau Frontenac in Québec City.
